A tenant welcome packet

A short packet on move-in day answers the questions that would otherwise come by text all month.

New tenants need to know how things work. Putting it in writing also documents what they were told.

What to include

  • How to pay rent, and the due date.
  • How to request repairs, and what counts as an emergency.
  • Utility companies to set up.
  • Trash and recycling days.
  • HOA or community rules.
  • Emergency contacts.

Florida notices

Florida law requires certain disclosures, such as the landlord's or agent's name and address, and a written notice about the security deposit within 30 days of receiving it. Check section 83.49 and section 83.50.

Our welcome packet checklist covers each item.
